As part of Harmony Day celebrations, the Migrant Information Centre (Eastern Melbourne) (MIC) is holding a movie fundraiser featuring the screening of Constance on the Edge.
Filmed over 10 years, Constance on the Edge is an unflinchingly honest portrayal of one refugee family’s resettlement story in Australia.
MIC assists refugees and migrants residing in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne in their settlement journey.
ALL PROCEEDS FROM THIS FUNDRAISER WILL GO DIRECTLY TOWARDS SUPPORTING INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES AND YOUNG PEOPLE FROM REFUGEE BACKGROUNDS SETTLING IN THE EASTERN REGION OF MELBOURNE
Examples of where the funds will go include supporting people facing financial crisis to buy food and essential items, cover unexpected living costs, as well as to help children and young people to participate in activities to assist in their settlement into life in Australia.
