Jointly sponsored by Vic Roads and the Australian Government Department of Social Services, this program supports newly arrived (less than 5 years in Australia), youth (aged 16 or older) who are from a refugee or family stream migrant background and live in the eastern region of Melbourne get their Learner Driver Permit.
Spread across 4 days, participants will be supported to go through all the content required to know about Victorian road rules. On the final day, participants will sit the Learner Permit Test at a local VicRoads Centre.
Participants must have a Health Care Card and relevant Travel Document ID. There is a $20 fee to help cover the cost of the Learner Permit Test.
