SUMMARY:Young Women's Program
DESCRIPTION:The MIC Young Women's program is for newly arrived female youth
  aged 16-20 years old from a refugee or family stream background\, who liv
 e in the outer eastern region of Melbourne. Through group discussion\, tea
 m building\, hands-on and self-reflection activities\, participants are en
 couraged to increase their knowledge and resources\, develop skills and bu
 ild resilience to enable them to actively engage in their education\, comm
 unity and family life. The program will help participants to develop confi
 dence and self-esteem\, empathy and appreciations for each other\, explore
  body image\, recognize and manage thoughts\, feelings\, emotions and conf
 licts better\, and navigate relationships well. The content covered in the
  program is also be largely driven by input from the participants themselv
 es.\n\n
