Volunteer Coordinator Part time – 22.5 hours can be worked over 4 days
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, screening, onboarding and supporting volunteers to meet the operational needs of the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), Australian Community Visitors Scheme (ACVVS), Care Finder and other approved MIC programs.
The role ensures an adequate pool of appropriately skilled volunteers is available to support clients from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities. The Volunteer Coordinator manages the full volunteer lifecycle, including recruitment, mandatory compliance, induction, training, records management, recognition and volunteer wellbeing. The position works closely with the CHSP Project Lead to ensure volunteers are recruited and matched according to client needs and service demand and provides direct client support for the Care Finder Program as directed by Care Finder staff. The role will support to implement the Volunteer Strategy for MIC.

Project Coordinator – Passenger Support Initiative ( 5 days a fortnight)
The Project Coordinator is responsible for the end-to-end coordination and delivery of the MIC Passenger Support Initiative, a TAC-funded road safety program supporting newly arrived migrants and refugees across Melbourne’s eastern region. The role works closely with bicultural workers, partner organisations, and MIC senior staff to ensure high-quality, culturally appropriate program delivery across four program cycles (20 sessions in total) within the funded period. Bilingual Settlement Part-time positions ( 2 roles)
Position Objective
The Bicultural Settlement Officer – Young People and Families is responsible for supporting newly arrived migrant and refugee young people and families to successfully settle into Australian society through culturally responsive, strengths-based support with a focus on Farsi speaking communities and the other for Myanmar communities.
The role provides low and medium intensity settlement casework to eligible clients under the Settlement Engagement and Transition Support (SETS) Program while delivering community engagement, community development, group activities and early intervention initiatives that strengthen social participation, community connectedness and independence.
A key focus of the position is engaging young people through sport, recreation, leadership development, education and community participation, while supporting parents and families to navigate Australian systems and build strong community connections.
The role works collaboratively with schools, sporting clubs, youth services, local government, community organisations and emerging community leaders to improve settlement outcomes.

Digital Literacy Project Worker (15 Hours per week)
Position Objective
The Digital Literacy Projects Worker will coordinate the day-to-day implementation of the Young Digital Mentor Program funded through the Capacity Builder Grant. The role will recruit and support young mentors from culturally and linguistically diverse communities, coordinate digital literacy training, maintain participant records, support program evaluation and ensure all project milestones are achieved on time.
The role promotes digital inclusion by empowering young people to become Digital Mentors who assist family members, older people and community members to improve their digital confidence and access to online services.
