Through our settlement services and the Community Partnerships Program, Refugee and Asylum Seeker Program, we provide assistance and leadership training to support community leaders and elders to source and write grant applications, meet their legal commitments as incorporated associations, plan and hold community activities including fundraising events, cultural festivals and youth activities.
We have established the Migrant Communities Network who meet on a quarterly basis each year. The network brings together leaders from refugee communities in the Eastern Metropolitan Region to share information, gain knowledge from local service providers and council officers, learn about funding opportunities and work together towards communal projects and activities.
