Communities: Together Stronger Better – Online Social Celebration Event

Feb 13
  • On Saturday 13 February, 2021
  • From 2:00am until 3:00am

The Migrant Information Centre (Eastern Melbourne) invites you to our annual social gathering: “Communities: Together Stronger Better”

To celebrate the achievements of our diverse multicultural communities and the volunteers who support them, the MIC is pleased to present Communities: Together Stronger Better!

This year the MIC is hosting an event online to thank our volunteers for their various commitments in supporting our clients and to celebrate the cultural traditions and stories of community of our multicultural community.

The event normally takes place at the end of the year, but this year MIC received a grant to develop our ‘digital capabilities’ and used the grant to purchase a digital camera. This has enabled us to capture some of the unique and inspiring talent in the communities that we work with.

Listen to a Zomi youth band play in their native language and watch a Hakha Chin dance performance…. The event will celebrate the diverse cultural traditions and achievements of our multicultural community, with dance and music performances from a number of communities and speeches from community members, volunteers and the Maroondah mayor.

Please click the flyer to join the celebration! We hope to see you at the event on Saturday February 13th.
