MIC Walk-A-Thon Fundraiser

Apr 28

Lace up your shoes and come join us for the Migrant Information Centre’s (Eastern Melbourne) (MIC) first ever fundraising Walk-A-Thon!

Register to be a participant and commit to walking either the 3km or the more challenging 7km circuit.  Participants can then start raising money by asking their friends, family, work colleagues and others to sponsor them by giving donations to support them for walking that distance.

On Saturday 28th April 2018, participants of this year’s walk-a-thon will meet at Studley Park at 10.30am and begin the walk together at 11:00am. Be sure to come early for registration and to receive a welcome from MIC staff.

At the MIC Walk-A-Thon there are two ways you can be involved!

  • Sign up as a participant and commit to walking either the 3km or 7km circuit track here. The $20 you pay to register is part of the fundraising, but we also encourage you to ask family, friends and other members of the community to sponsor you for doing the Walk-A-Thon.
  • If you are unable to participate as a walker on Saturday 28th April, you can still sponsor someone online here who is walking with a donation or come along on the day to cheer others on.

100% of all funds raised will go directly to supporting individuals, families and young people from refugee backgrounds who are new to Australia and living in the eastern region of Melbourne.

Your participation and donation means we can continue to support people facing financial crisis to buy food and essential items, cover unexpected living costs, as well as to help children and young people to participate in activities to assist in their settlement into life in Australia.  Any amount, small or big adds up to help us achieve our fundraising goal.

MIC thanks you for your support!
