Settlement Program – Individual and Family Support
The Migrant Information Centre (Eastern Melbourne) Ltd provides tailored settlement support to help migrants and refugees build independence, confidence and connection as they begin their lives in Australia. We work with individuals, families, young people and children to understand their needs, goals and cultural strengths, offering practical assistance on housing, education, employment, health services and community participation. Support is delivered through casework, outreach, group sessions and community activities. Our bicultural workers—reflecting communities from China, Myanmar, Iran, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Afghanistan and emerging groups—ensure culturally informed, trusted support. Specialised staff assist young people, parents and children to navigate Australian systems and successfully settle long-term.
